HP Mini 5102 Gets Reviewed, Is Loved

We recently found out about the upcoming HP Mini 5102, which updates the earlier HP Mini 5101 series, and the folks at LaptopMag already have their review for it.

The HP Mini 5102 model that Mark at LaptopMag reviewed consisted of a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 Pine trail CPU, Windows 7 Starter, 1GB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive and a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 display, (starting) at $424.

Some Pro’s included a very long battery life with more than 10 hours, three color choices (black, red and blue), a comfortable chicklet keyboard, fast hard drive and boot time, very good speakers and “convenient” security software.

There were not very many con’s, only the price–starting at $424 makes it a bit pricey compared to other netbooks–and the fan being “a bit loud”. Other than that, Mark says it deserves recognition:

You’ll pay a bit more for the Mini 5102’s sturdy design, and it doesn’t really outperform competitors, but overall it deserves our Editor’s Choice Award.

After reading the review, the HP Mini 5102 seems like one of the best netbooks for travelers–or those in need of long lasting battery life.
